Brush It Off and Lift It Up

You ever wake up and feel like the world decided to start swinging before you even had your coffee?
You roll out of bed, stub your toe, step on a tiny army man, realize the kids don’t have clean clothes, and — oh yeah — that water bill? Still unpaid.

Sometimes the morning feels like it’s already over before it’s even begun.

But what if today, instead of letting the chaos win, you brush it off?
Not because it’s easy, but because you know the One who carries what you can’t.

There’s this verse that always reminds me of this — when Jesus said to “turn the other cheek” (Matthew 5:39)
It wasn’t just about letting someone insult you without reacting. It was about choosing peace over pride, grace over frustration.

And when Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown into prison, they didn’t sit there and sulk.
They worshiped — right there in the dark, in the middle of their pain (Acts 16:25).
They sang so loud the prison walls shook.

That’s what “brushing it off” looks like in the Kingdom.
It’s not ignoring your problems — it’s handing them over to the One who can handle them.

So, if this morning feels heavy —
if the kids are screaming, if the bills are stacking, if your patience is wearing thin —
take a deep breath.

🎵 Turn on that worship music.
Raise your hands right there in your kitchen, or your car, or the middle of the mess.
Let the tears fall if they need to.

God hears the broken cries too — maybe even more than the put-together ones.
He doesn’t need perfection. He wants presence.

Come to Him with the things you’re trying to carry alone, and let Him remind you:
You were never meant to do this by yourself.

So today, let’s brush it off and lift it up.
He’s got this. And He’s got you. 💛
